Proximity control?

Today was the first day of senior finals.

One particular student was very anxious about the test. She had worked with a friend on the review materials. Actually she worked near a friend. When the friend sat next to her, she felt confident enough to try each problem. She didn’t do them perfectly, but she was willing to try. When the friend moved away, she stopped trying.

So her friend came to the final. She sat next to her and read a book.

That’s kinda cute and kinda makes me want to give her something to be more independent.

Sarah – This girl is pretty independent. She’s a leader in her sporting events. She was however very freaked out about the final. She did manage to take the second part with out the comfort of her friend being there.

She needs a life-sized cardboard standup of her friend to take with her to college. Think “Flat Stanley”.

  4. kenneth says:

She needs the therapy of self-reliance and self-confidence to cure herself of the disease of dependency and lack of self confidence.
